This weekend was one of celebration. What were we celebrating, you may ask? We celebrated a smorgasbord of random things, from Andrew's mom's birthday, to the end state testing for me this past week, to the beginning of spring. We celebrated the fact that I only have 1 more month of work before summer vacation. And of course we celebrated Andrew's continued success in his first 2 weeks of training for his new job. I think those are all fabulous reasons to celebrate :)
On Friday, Andrew and I took Debbie and John (Andrew's mom and step-dad) out for a celebratory, birthday dinner. We drove down to Lehi to go to their favorite Mexican restaurant, Cocolitos (check out more information on this delectable spot on our SLC To Eat page). So yum! And so much fun to get to talk to Debbie and John. Since they sold their house, we haven't had family dinners nearly as much. I miss seeing everyone on a weekly basis, so it was a special treat to go on a double date with them and catch up. On Saturday, Andrew and I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. (*NOTE: Teachers and 1 guest can get in FREE!) I love the tulip festival. Acres of gardens filled with thousands of bright, happy flowers that welcome spring in full bloom. It doesn't get much better than that. I have sort-of become a fresh-flower-fan in the past few months. I love having a bouquet of real flowers on my kitchen table. It just seems to breathe in new life into our home. So if you have a chance to go to the tulip festival, take advantage of it!
