I think I need to remind myself of the purpose of this blog: to record memories on a regular basis. Sometimes I hinder my own writing by overthinking things. I think: "Will people be interested in what I am writing? Am I creative enough? Motivational? Inspiring?" But that is not why I started this blog. So here is my goal: write weekly about our lives, no matter how mundane that may seem. There is plenty to report from the last week or so. My cousin, Chase, was in town from Virginia. He is going to BYU in Idaho but was in Provo for a week. We were able to take him out to lunch and catch up on life. It's always nice to see family. Afterwards, Andrew, Grace, and I went to BYU to walk around the campus for a little bit. We explored the Museum of Art and then saw a few of the museum exhibits found in the Library. We ended our Provo visit with a Jamba Juice and a quick stop to see Grandpa Macey. On Friday went to the Utah State Fair with Ben and Olivia and their girls. It's always fun to go to the fair each September. We love seeing the livestock, carved butter, all the craft and photography contests, fried food, carnival games and rides, and interesting-looking people at the fair. Then on Monday we went up to see some fall colors at Cascade Springs with Bobby and Heidi and their kids. Not all the leaves have changed color, but they are definitely starting to, and the mountains provide a crispness to the air. I love fall! Plus, the boys were able to fly their drones a bit and capture some pretty sweet photos. :) So that is what is going on in our lives recently.
